Wokowice is a town located eight kilometers northeast of Brzesko. The town was created in the 15th century and you can still see the typical mediaeval settlement layout. In 1782, as a result of the secularization of church property by decree of the Austrian partition authorities, the village was incorporated into the so-called "Religious Fund". Probably in the 19th century Wokowice became private property. A well-known monument in the village is a 19th-century manor house placed, according to records, on the perimeter of the basement of the 18th-century wooden mansion.
